Director of Music Ministry

   My music career started at a very young age. My mother was my first piano teacher, because it tradition in our family for the women to learn piano. As I got older and my love and passion for music grew, and my family saw that I was serious I started a long line of piano teachers that would last me throughout my college career. While in college my music education consist of  piano lessons, music theory 1-4, multiple music history classes, ear training, and sight reading. I also participated in numerous choirs, ensembles, and performed at various churches  throughout Tennessee as well as providing piano accompaniment during mission trips when I was younger.   

  After completing my studies, I have played piano and bass guitar in a number of churches. I  have also held several different positions as the pianist for several churches. One of my biggest  accomplishments has been to be appointed as Director of music Ministry  for the Church of the Good Shepherd. 

  As Director it is my responsibility to coordinate all music provided for worship services,    special sacramental occasions, and parish events or concerts. I provide the piano music for the  regular scheduled services as well as all special services. I also assist the pastor with planning  various special services throughout the year. 

  As Director I have introduced several new piece of music to the congregation, combining  combining traditional with some contemporary style. In 2020, with help of Rev Jason Crowder, I helped to put together a Handbell Choir that performs a couple times a year.  There are several  projects that I am currently working on putting together for the church that I feel will help showcase the traditional flare of the church, and the music program.
